Student Research Expo
Over 12 weeks, our 11th and 12th grade scholars from across Lancaster County and the east coast have heard from over 12 physicians and health professionals, learned about various health allied fields, and gained a high level understanding of health equity and research. In 10 research groups, our Pipeline Dreams: High School scholars accepted the challenge to think critically about health disparities and create and present a research proposal. This Student Research Expo celebrates our students' hard work, commitment to their future and serves as an opportunity to compete for a Summer Internship Opportunity.

INTERRUPTING OPPRESSION: BLACK MATERNAL HEALTH
Black women face significant challenges when it comes to their health and well-being, including higher rates of maternal mortality, pregnancy-related complications, and limited access to quality healthcare. This workshop will delve into the root causes of these disparities and the impact they have on Black mothers and families, as well as explore ways to create change in our community.
Join us for an engaging discussion featuring Dr. Sharee Livingston of Patients R Waiting, Tess Feiler of YWCA Lancaster, and Adam Hosey of Planned Parenthood Keystone. The workshop will include a thought-provoking conversation and an opportunity to learn and take action on this critical issue.
The workshop will be held on Tuesday, February 21st from 6-8 PM at the Millersville Student Memorial Center on Millersville University's campus. Dinner will be provided for attendees.

Book Club: When We Make It
An unforgettable young adult debut novel-in-verse that redefines what it means to "make it," touching on themes of mental illness, sexual assault, food insecurity and gentrification. PRW Golf Outing
Spend a day golfing with your friends and join us on for the Patients R Waiting Golf Outing! The outing will be held at Overlook Golf Course. This our inaugural event
Join as we close out our PRW weekend on the greens at Overlook Golf Course, 2040 Lititz Pike - Lancaster, PA 17601. As we take part in an exciting celebratory round of golf. At this years golf outing we want to celebrate our clinicians in practice, our clinicians to be currently in training, and our aspiring clinicians. It truly takes a village and our village will be spending the day together on the greens. Please join us!
The cost is $150 per golfer, or $500 per foursome; price includes greens fees, golf cart use, brunch, snacks and drinks throughout the course.
6th Annual Diversity in Medicine Conference
The Diversity in Medicine Conference, by Patients R Waiting, is designed by experienced health professionals of color with the needs of underrepresented students preparing for careers in medicine and other health professions in mind.
The event will bring together a keynote speaker, physicians, medical students, scientists, and other health professionals with vital information, guidance, and inspiration. A full day of both plenary and interactive sessions will take place, including a public health panel, medical student panel, pre-med advice sessions, diversity equity and inclusion training for educators, and more.
